The Major contributors to the annual inflation rate for March 2024 were food and non- alcohol beverages, contributing 1.0 percentage points, followed by Alcoholic beverages & tobacco, which contributed 0.9 percentage points while, Housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels accounted for 0.8 percentage points and Transport contributed 0.7 percentage points.

The primary drivers of the annual inflation rate of 3.6 percent in February 2025 were ‘Food and Non- Alcoholic Beverages,’ contributing 1.2 percentage points; followed by ‘Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas, and Other Fuels’ contributing 0.9 percentage points, while the category ‘Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco’ contributed 0.5 percentage points.
