SG - Second quarter GDP 2016 recorded a decline of 1.2


The real GDP for the second quarter of 2016 recorded a decline of 1.2 percent compared to a 7.0 percent growth registered in the corresponding quarter of 2015. The poor performance is mainly attributed to the construction, hotels and restaurants and mining and quarrying sectors that recorded declines of 19.9 percent, 15.5 percent and 13.2 percent in real value added, accordingly.
