These projections provide us with estimates of our population patterns for the next 30 years. For example, as per the estimates, our population will be around 2.96 million in 2030 and 3.44 million in 2041. The rural / urban dynamics are also projected to change.
Currently we have much more people living in the rural areas. By the year 2030 this picture will have changed and more than 60 per cent of our population will live in the urban areas. Additionally, it is projected that by the year 2030 up to a third of our population will be residing in the Khomas and Erongo Regions.
